Are aesthetic treatments safe?
Your safety is my priority. As a Nurse Prescriber, all treatments are led with medical expertise, using only safe, evidence-based products and established clinical techniques tailored to your health history. Before any treatment is performed I will discuss any associated risks with you, so you are fully informed.
Is there any downtime after treatment?
Downtime varies by treatment.Some procedures like fillers may cause slight swelling or bruising for 24-48 hours, while skin treatments often have minimal recovery time. Treatments such as microneedling may result in a red face for a few days. Full aftercare advice is always provided. As a rule I always suggest to ensure treatments are at least 2 weeks away from any important events so that swelling and bruising is resolved at that point.
Will the treatments be painful?
I pride myself on being gentle. Many treatments involve minimal discomfort. For those that might be more sensitive, I use effective numbing creams and a light touch to ensure your experience is as pleasant as possible.

How do i prepare for a treatment
Stay well hydrated, avoid excessive sun exposure and fake tan for a week prior, ideally two, avoid alcohol 24-48 hours before treatment as this can increase bruising. Arrive with clean skin if possible (don't worry if you require a small amount of make up), eat a small meal on the day of the treatment, prior to chemical peels or microneedling you may be asked to stop active skincare ingredients and retinoids for a few days prior.
What is the usual aftercare recommendations
I will advise you on specific treatment aftercare following your treatment, but often I will advise no make up or skin care for 24 hours post treatment, restarting most gentle cleansing and SPF after 24 hours, do not touch or manipulate the areas which have been treated for 24 hours to avoid infection or misplacement, avoid alcohol, heat exposure (direct sun, sauna, steam room) and strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours post treatment.
I am unwell, what should I do?
Its generally best to reschedule your appointment if you have an active cold sore, a rash or skin infection in the face, a fever or significant illness, recent sunburn or a dental infection. These common ailments can effect the treatments so it is best to wait until these have fully resolved before rebooking.
